{National Alopecia Awareness Month} Blue Beauty Giveaway

Hi Beauties! I'm very excited to announce my second giveaway on my blog and this time its all about beauty. Being a woman having alopecia, we rely a lot on makeup to enhance our beauty and end up becoming addicted to makeup. Yes that is my confession....I love love love makeup! Anyway, I went on a hunt a few days ago to find a few products in blue package and blue in color. If you're wondering why "Blue", it's because that is the color that represents Alopecia Awareness.

The giveaway starts today and will end on Wednesday, September 18th at midnight. I will announce the winner on Thursday. To enter the giveaway, please follow the instructions below.

Beauty Review | Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Protector

It's been over a week since I've been using Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Protector and I must say that I love it! The texture of the beauty balm is liquid and not too creamy and it gives a sheer tint while disguising some facial flaws. I apply the beauty balm by mixing it with my moisturizer and proceed to apply my eyebrows, bronzer, blush, and gloss. Because I have excessive oily skin I do apply my MAC Blotting Powder about twice a day. I want to find a good CC Cream to help fade my dark spots and block the shine. Check out my before and after photos:

Alopecian GirlTalk | Weekend w/No Makeup...Milestone

Hi Couture Beauties! I am so excited to share with you what I did over the weekend that is like a major milestone in my Alopecia journey. I faced the world with NO MAKEUP...not one bit except my Vaseline Cocoa Butter Jelly for my lips. I was standing in my bathroom mirror staring at myself wondering & pondering if I wanted to put makeup on or not. I've been real excited about the growth of my eyebrows and being able to shape them...thanks to Simplicity Hair Oil. I've been applying this oil on my eyebrows every night since December when I lost a chunk on my left brow and they've been growing in ever since. So I decided to skip the makeup and go bare face.

The last time I actually went without makeup was in 2004 before my Alopecia got extensive. Traveling this Alopecia journey is a huge challenge, so I try not to get my hopes up too high about any of my hair growth because the chances of it falling out again are high. In the same sense, I can't help but to get a little excited about the hair growth that does occur.

Here's a photo I took last night, which is not a good one because I was dead tired and you can see it in my eyes...lol

Beauty Product Review | Ruby Kisses All Over Glow Bronzing Powder

I am just loving my new bronzer from Ruby Kisses in Flushed Glow! I found this bronzer at my local beauty supply store when I was restocking my wig supply. I've been looking for a bronzer that will give me a pinkish glow and this was it. This bronzer is very pigmented, so I only dab a little on with my ELF blush brush above my jawbone for an added glow.

What are some of your favorite bronzers?

Lips Found A New Bold Color With Mary Kay True Dimension Lipstick

Hi Couture Beauties. I always have a difficult time finding the right bold hues that flows with my skin tone and keep my lips moisturized at the same time. Mary Kay Cosmetics came out with a new lipstick line called True Dimension a few months ago and I finally got my hands on tube. I have falling completely in love with my new lipstick. It makes my lips feel so soft and moisturized. The color stays on for hours where I only had to reapply once. The color that I am wearing in the photo below is called Spice and Nice.

Have you tried Mary Kay's latest lip colors?

Sheer Luck by Pure Ice

Happy Friday Couture Beauties! Haven't been able to blog at all this week due to my heavy schedule being an Accountant/Hair Replacement Consultant. It's tax season and Spring is near, which is a time when us women want to try different styles, colors, and textures of hair :) Anywhooo... let's get to the point of this post. St. Patrick's day is on Monday and I found a pretty nail polish at Walmart to wear for this day. Teh polish is called Sheer Luck by Pure Ice and it's a glitter polish with purple and blue specks. This would look great over a white base polish. Now I just need to create a face look to complete the polish. Check out the photo below....

What polish will be on your nails for St. Patty's Day?

Lashes Galore & New Sexy Gloss by Victoria's Secret

Finally Mastered Applying Faux Lashes

Yes, it took me while in applying these lashes, but I fianlly got the hang of it. I tried applying lashes back in 2008 when I had Alopecia Universalis (total all over body hair loss), but I ended up with glue in my eyes and gave up...lol. The lashes shown in the pic are from Eylure Naturalites #116 purchased at Ulta for $5.99. They are a little too long for me and I was scared to trim them, but they are fancy. Next step is learning how to apply bottom lashes where I need it! Wish me luck on that one Beauties..lol

On my lips is Victoria's Secret New Limited Edition Sexy Kiss Aphrodisiac Gloss in Dedandent Berry. This is going to be my favorite go to gloss. It smells so good, very glossy, shiny, and just the right sparkly for me. I love the packaging too...very girly.

Have A Glamourous Weekend Beauties!

XOXO, Nicole

Weekend Look | Red Lips & Rocket Lashes

Being that it's National Heart Month, I thought I would rock red lips this past weekend. I rarely wear bright or dark colors on my lips because it makes me look extremely pale, but I don't mind going bold every so often. Products used for the lashes & lips is Maybelline's The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara in Blackest Black and Mary Kay's Creme Lipstick in Red.

Eyelashes Before & After Looks
Due to Alopecia, I have chunks of eyelashes missing but Maybelline's Rocket Volum Express Mascara helps to mask the missing lashes.

Final Look

How are you wearing your Red this month?

Be Bold. Be Beautiful. Be You with Confidence.
